I really like definition number two. I am not a fan of parodies at all. Now, I will confess to seeing three of them: Scary Movie 2, Not Another Teen Movie and S

cary Movie Three. I, thankfully, can't remember much of them. If you like parodies, that's fine. I personally cannot stand them. When I saw the trailer for Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story, I was honestly annoyed. Hell, I was a little pissed off by it. I am a HUGE Johnny Cash fan. I have an unbelievable amount of respect for that man, his life, his story, his music and his soul mate, June Carter Cash. I loved Walk The Line. So, when I saw that trailer, I watched it with my mouth hung open, waiting for a fly to fly right in. I refused to go see that movie. I will never watch that movie for two reasons: 1) I can't stand parodies and 2) It's a parody on Walk The Line. Now, I know it was not meant to be disrespectful, I completely understand that. It is just not something I want to see.

Recently, I went to the movie theater, two days in a row to be exact. In my two days, I saw two different sets of previews. One of those previews, made me cringe. Disaster Movie (official site here). "Oh no, not another one," were my exact thoughts. Not to mention, the panda is creepy. I mean really creepy.

My only question when it comes to parodies is, why? Why why why why WHY?! Why do they greenlight these movies?
